What details do we need about the appliance?
Give appliance type, width, depth and height. Add model name and weight if known. Describe whether the machine is freestanding or still built in. A photo of the appliance and its position helps assess collection.
Describe how the appliance is prepared for the trip, following the manufacturer's documentation. Include the transport restraints specified for your model. If details or required parts are missing, clarify preparation with the manufacturer or a suitable professional beforehand and tell us the status.
In what condition is the appliance handed over?
The enquiry initially concerns collection and transport of the prepared appliance. Disconnecting water or electricity, removing built-in appliances and installation at the destination are not automatically included. If it is still connected or fitted in, state that explicitly before agreeing collection.
For a used purchase, ask whether the machine will be handed over transport-ready at the agreed time. Have available manufacturer information ready and describe outstanding preparation. If your old appliance should also be collected or disposed of, name it with its details as a separate request; the new delivery does not automatically include that work.
Clarify stairs, lift and staffing early
Give the floors at both addresses and describe access. If there is a lift, we need information on the usable cabin and route to it. Entrance steps, a basement stairway or a tight stair turn can make a substantial difference despite a short drive.
For a washing machine, requested carrying help must fit its weight and access. State whether your own helpers load, you carry with the driver by agreement or you need two staff members. With your assistance, the driver is one employee. Special transport equipment and staffing suitability are clarified for your situation beforehand.
Floors and appliance weight belong in the quote
Collecting a machine from a basement is different carrying work from receiving it at the entrance. Describe collection position, route to the vehicle and destination floor. Weight, requested staff, travel to collection and transport distance also affect price. Further appliances or stops belong in the list from the start.
For a used machine moving from the ground floor to the third floor without a lift, we need more than the appliance name. Give the model if known, preparation status and stair conditions at both addresses. We use these to agree carrying service and a possible time window with you. The enquiry opens this discussion; the trip is fixed only after express confirmation.
