Ask the key questions before committing to the seller
Ask for dimensions and current photos. Ask which floor the furniture is on, whether there is a lift and whether it can leave the home in one piece. For a wardrobe, whether it is supplied assembled or dismantled matters. For a couch, we need details of the individual sections.
Agree a realistic collection window with the seller and tell us possible alternatives. If collection is possible only at a particular hour, include that in the enquiry straight away. A collection promise to the seller should not rely solely on a transport enquiry that has not yet been assessed.
Who will be at handover and who helps carry?
Agree with the seller who hands over the furniture and provides access to the home. Handover must be organised even if you are not there yourself. A person present is planned as a helper only when their carrying assistance has been agreed. We also need an agreed recipient at your address.
Help at the seller's home may differ from help at yours. For each address, say whether your own helpers load, you carry with the driver or you want to request two staff members. If your help with one driver is agreed, the team is one employee and you. This lets us describe the carrying service for each handover separately.
Purchase and transport remain clearly separate
You agree the purchase, furniture condition and payment with the seller. We plan the agreed transport. This does not automatically include buying on your behalf, advancing payment or checking the quality of the used item.
Tell us if the listing or collection situation changes after your enquiry. An extra wardrobe, dismantling still needed or a new address can change the vehicle, staff and price. Waiting time may arise if, for example, the furniture is not ready for handover as agreed.
Which listing details belong in the enquiry?
Include dimensions and photos from the listing and add what is often missing: both addresses, floors, lifts and the possible collection window. Also say who will actually help load and how close the vehicle can get to the entrances. With this information we can resolve outstanding handover questions directly with you.
If you buy a couch in Pankow and a table in Mitte, both sellers' collection times must fit the same trip. List both pieces and both time windows. We check the order and include the extra routes and carrying services when planning the quote. Only once the scope is agreed and the trip date confirmed can you fix the transport time with the sellers.
