The furniture list tells us more than the room count
“One room” can mean a bed and a few boxes, or a wardrobe, couch, desk and many crates. List large pieces individually, estimate the box count and add other belongings. Photos of a clearly arranged collection help us assess it.
State which furniture is already dismantled and which parts are especially long or heavy. A mattress, tabletop or wardrobe side panel needs space even when the rest of the move is small. Whether one trip is enough depends on quantity and vehicle planning; living area alone cannot tell us.
How much carrying should we handle?
Go through your furniture and box list and describe what carrying you can handle with your own helpers. If you want to carry with the driver, we agree your assistance for the process. Explicitly say if you want two staff members for carrying. When carrying together with the driver, one employee is planned; you support them as agreed. Packing, dismantling and assembly are included only by separate agreement.
Describe floors, lifts and carrying routes at both addresses. Include courtyards, multiple building sections or individual entrance steps. If the lift needs booking or the building has set delivery times, establish these conditions before agreeing the appointment.
Good preparation keeps your move manageable
Pack boxes before the agreed collection time and label them clearly. Keep personal documents, keys and things you need on the way separate. Empty furniture and gather small parts together. Tell us if you want extra help packing, dismantling or assembling; these jobs are discussed separately.
Describe the possible loading point and the route to it. A courtyard or distant stopping point can mean extra carrying even for a few pieces. Keep collection access clear. If you want to request a no-parking zone or special transport equipment, that requirement must be clarified separately.
Furniture, boxes and possible trips in the quote
The offered service covers the furniture and boxes you specified, along with distance, staff and floors. Extra stops, waiting time or multiple trips change the scope. Tell us about list additions before moving day so we can reassess space and process.
For a shared-flat room with a bed, desk, chair and twelve boxes, the enquiry should include the furniture condition too. Are bed and table already ready in parts? Are helpers planned at both addresses? These details show the loading and carrying work you need. We use them to discuss the quote and possible moving day; the date is fixed after our express confirmation.
