Wardrobe body or individual components?
Give width, height, depth and ideally material. A large dismantlable wardrobe needs different planning from a solid sideboard. For a dismantled wardrobe, describe the number and dimensions of larger parts. The longest side panels may matter more for the vehicle than the assembled external dimensions.
For collection from a home, establish whether the wardrobe is empty and freely accessible. Furniture still assembled or fixed in place requires further arrangements with the seller. If you want dismantling, reassembly or wall fixing, list each job separately. It is included only after express agreement.
Tall furniture needs a look at doors and stairs
For tight access, send a photo of the door frame, stair landing or lift cabin. The routes at both addresses matter. A wide building entrance helps little if the wardrobe then needs to pass a narrow hallway door. A rear building often adds carrying distance; describe the actual situation at your address.
Wall beds, very heavy furniture, large mirrors or firmly connected fitted units need a personal assessment. Mention special components straight away. A blurry photo alone cannot tell us whether furniture can move unchanged through the stairwell.
From its current position to its new spot
For wardrobe body and individual parts, specify helpers at collection and destination. You can organise loading with your own helpers or agree your assistance with one driver. Request two staff members if they should handle the agreed carrying. When carrying together with you, one employee is planned for the job.
Give the furniture's exact position and desired handover point at the destination. A chest of drawers at the loading point has a different carrying route from a wardrobe upstairs. We therefore need details of where the piece should stand after the trip as well as collection.
Condition and part count belong in the quote
A solid sideboard and a dismantled wardrobe use vehicle and carrying help differently. Pricing considers furniture shape, weight, number of parts and routes at both places. Route, staff and any extra work or waiting time are added. In particular, describe what will already be done before collection.
If a three-door wardrobe is still assembled at the seller's home, before agreeing the appointment establish whether it needs dismantling and who does it. Check the transported parts' dimensions and stair route too. Keep loose shelves, fittings and screws together in order; empty personal belongings beforehand. Once collection condition is described, we can discuss the requested scope and a possible date. The first enquiry does not confirm a trip.
