Check the packages first, then plan the vehicle
Send us the package count and the dimensions of the biggest and longest packages. For several pieces of furniture, a list of individual packages helps. The assembled wardrobe's dimensions tell us little about the length of its packaged side panels. Add the weight if it is given in your product documentation.
Include smaller packages, chairs, mattresses or other items to take along too. Furniture added later can change vehicle planning. If you want something collected at a second location, that extra stop belongs in your enquiry as well.
Agree the collection point and release beforehand
Give the furniture store or specific collection point with its full address. What matters is where your order is actually handed out and where it goes next. We plan the route using both places and account for collections outside Berlin too.
Check directly with IKEA when the order is ready for release and what documents are required. If someone else will collect it for you, ask them about the required details or authorisation too. We discuss these prerequisites with you before the trip; submitting a transport enquiry does not release the goods at IKEA for collection. We are not an official IKEA partner.
Should the packages go right into your home?
Give the delivery floor, lift size and route from the possible loading point to the building entrance. Long panels or heavy packages do not always fit in a small lift. If a delivery window or building registration is required, tell us in advance.
For long or heavy package deliveries, we need to know who will receive them at the destination. You can unload with your own helpers, agree your assistance alongside one driver or request two staff members. If you carry with the driver, one employee is planned with your support. Mention furniture assembly, packaging disposal or other work separately so its scope can be clarified beforehand.
From shopping list to transport quote
The package list shows the space needed; floor, lift and carrying route show the work involved in delivery. Travel to collection, the route, requested staffing and possible waiting time at the release point are also included. Whether the order is released at the agreed time therefore belongs in preparation just as much as the longest package's dimensions.
If your purchase consists of a wardrobe, a table and four chairs, list the relevant packages individually. The number of assembled pieces is no substitute for this list. Add the possible collection window and your delivery address. We match these details to the requested service and expressly agree the date with you; the enquiry alone does not confirm the trip.
